The "Thank You" page post-purchase is more than just a receipt page. It's an opportunity to continue the relationship, build loyalty, and potentially even drive further actions. Here are five prompts for each key component of a post-sale "Thank You" page:
Draft a heartfelt thank you note to reassure my customer that their purchase is appreciated and confirmed. They purchased [insert product].
I want you to act as a relationship builder and create a message that not only confirms the purchase but also reinforces the bond we wish to cultivate with our buyers. They purchased [insert product].
I want you to act as a brand voice and script a unique thank you message that fits our brand’s tone and values, ensuring the customer feels they made the right choice. Our brand voice is [describe brand voice, ie: happy, funny, serious, etc) and our values are [insert your company values here].
I want you to act as a trust builder and design a clear and concise confirmation that communicates all essential details about the purchase of [insert product]. The email should outline the following: [insert key things you want listed in the email].
I want you to act as a guide and outline the following subsequent steps the customer should expect or take. These steps are [insert steps].
I want you to act as an assurance provider and make sure the customer knows the next steps after they purchase. They should expect [insert things your customer should expect to receive, do, or take actin on like when they'll get access to their purchase or when it will be shipped].
I want you to act as a clarity giver and provide any necessary instructions or tutorials that will help the customer get started with their new purchase. To get started, highlight the following steps in the email: [insert steps they need to take, ie: set passcode, download resources, watch video, etc].
I want you to act as a user experience expert and craft an intuitive list of steps or actions the buyer might need or want to follow post-purchase of [insert product]. The email should cover the following [insert steps or instructions].
I want you to act as a planner and provide anticipatory guidance for any queries or challenges the customer might face, ensuring they feel supported. These are the resources my students have to get help: [insert digital product resources and support channels here].
I want you to act as a transition facilitator and direct the buyer to the additional resources and platforms that were included with their purchase of [insert product]. When they purchased [insert product name], they received [insert additional resources or platforms that were included with the product purchase here].
I want you to act as a sales strategist and identify any complementary products or services we can subtly recommend on the thank you page for [insert product name], which teaches my students to [insert key transformation students will receive upon completion of your digital product here].
I want you to act as a value provider and suggest additional materials, perhaps at a discounted rate, that would enhance the buyer's initial purchase of [insert digital product name], which teaches my students to [insert key transformation students will receive upon completion of your digital product here].
I want you to act as an opportunity spotter and showcase any exclusive offers that are only available to those who have made a purchase of [insert digital product name], which teaches my students to [insert key transformation students will receive upon completion of your digital product here].
I want you to act as a loyalty builder and design special post-purchase deals or bundles that reward the customer's decision to buy [insert digital product name], which teaches my students to [insert key transformation students will receive upon completion of your digital product here].
